Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been issued with claims of tax fraud by Spanish prosecutors, according to Reuters.

Prosecutors say Mourinho owes Spanish authorities €3.3m (£2.9m) after failing to declare revenues from his image rights "with the aim of obtaining illicit profits".

With Ronaldo looking like an increasingly unlikely mover, apparently Manchester United will offer £60million for his team mate 24-year-old Morata, hoping to seal the deal before their pre-season training camp in Los Angeles.

Mourinho managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013.

On June 13, Spanish authorities filed a lawsuit against Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo for an alleged €14.7 million (£13 million) tax fraud.

They added that the Portuguese previously settled a €1.15m (£1m) tax claim, but authorities later found that some of the information presented in that settlement was incorrect.

Sources say top Senate Republicans are finalizing their plan for dismantling President Barack Obama's health care law. But most senators said they haven't read the text of the legislation and withheld comment about their support.

However, reports have since suggested that Ronaldo is "upset" at his treatment, and is set to leave Real.

Paper Round's view: Costa's big reveal earlier this month will have made a dent in his transfer value since other clubs now know Chelsea want to move him on, which puts him in a better position to bargain, as does the fact that he still has two years left on his contract.

The claims against Mourinho come amid a lengthening list of tax fraud cases involving football stars in Spain.

Gestifute, a Portuguese-based football agency which represents Mourinho and Ronaldo, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi was sentenced to a 21-month jail sentence and 2.09-million-euro fine previous year for tax fraud.
