The new meal options are created to feed up to four people, and include the choice of one entree, two side dishes - including new offerings such as bacon baked beans or mac and cheese -and eight mini rolls at a cost of $29.99, with additional entrees, sides and beverage available for an extra cost.

That's because the chicken chain is now testing out family-style meals, TODAY has learned.

The fast food chain announced that they are testing family-style meals and two new sides - mac and cheese and bacon baked beans - in three cities starting on Monday.

Those watching their waistlines will approve as well: A meal featuring a grilled chicken breast, two mini-rolls, the side salad and fruit cup is only approximately 300 calories.

N.Korea vows to take 'corresponding measures' if UN adopts sanctions
An interceptor based in Alaska shot down an intermediate-range target launched over the Pacific Ocean north of Hawaii. The U.S. has also asked the Philippines and India, which also do trade there, to end those ties with North Korea .

The sides options include bacon baked beans, mac and cheese, a fruit cup, a side salad or one of its superfood sides-kale and broccolini doused in a maple vinaigrette dressing and topped with dried sour cherries and roasted nuts.

Chick-fil-A will pilot the Family Style Meals through November 18. Chick-fil-A has introduced several new items to its menu including macaroni and cheese, bacon baked beans and chocolate fudge brownie.

These include: Chick-n-Strips (12-count); Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Breasts (4-count); Chick-fil-A Nuggets (30-count), and Grilled Chicken Breasts (4-count). Customers can choose to add additional entrees, shareable sides and drinks.

Unfortunately, for the time being, the Family Style Meals will only be available in Greensboro, N.C., Phoenix, and San Antonio, but the brand is planning on bringing the options nationwide if they are a hit with customers. In 2016, Chick-fil-A was named the Technomic Consumer's Choice for "providing value through service" and QSR Magazine named the company "the most polite restaurant in the country" in its annual drive-thru report.
