The big-serving Croat played with a blister on his left foot in Sunday's Wimbledon final against Roger Federer.
She had supported the tennis legend during his men's final against Cilic because she preferred dancing with him on the night.
Federer's victory on Sunday handed the Swiss a record eighth Wimbledon singles title, and his 19th major overall.
Federer arrived at the Guildhall in Central London looking dapper with his wife, Mirka.
Andy Murray held onto No. 1 despite losing in the quarterfinals of his title defense at the All England Club, ahead of No. 2 Rafael Nadal, who lost in the fourth round of Wimbledon after winning the French Open.
Yet, having delivered a 19th major title for his army of fans on Centre Court, Federer admitted that his advancing age and last year's injury issues meant he could not say for certain that he would be back to defend his crown next year.
"Because I didn't know and I couldn't tell, I just said; 'Focus on your game". I drank too many different types of drinks, I guess.
"After the ball we went to - what would you call it? So lovely that I have trouble actually judging the quality of his tactics and strategy sometimes because I'm just so swept away by the aesthetic quality of his shots and I think that's very important to him and part of the interesting thing about his game is that he strives to be attractive and Cilic was no match for him in part because of that enduring", said Thomas.

Erdogan continues to lay blame to cleric-in-exile Fathulla Gulen, who lives Pennsylvania, USA. The government has arrested another 50,000 people.
Federer's willingness to come to net is in contrast to numerous younger up-and-coming players. Every time the Swiss has won both the Australian Open and Wimbledon in a single season, he has also gone on to lift the US Open trophy (2004, 2006 and 2007).
'I've had some tough ones here but I always believed I could come back here again. But I was happy to be there again. "But we had a good time".
'They could choose not to play that way too, if the coaches taught them differently, ' Federer said. 'So that has been helpful for us to stick around'. Because of them, I think I became a better player. I know you can easily get sucked into that mode when you don't want to attack, but if you can't volley you are not going to go to the net. I've played nearly every player here that wouldn't serve and volley.
'I'm going "okay, I know he's not going to serve and volley, which is great". "Yeah, at some stage I nearly feel like I have to be realistic".
"There was no music, but it was a great dinner", Federer said.
Federer won the first set 6-3. I remember playing Pat Rafter on Suzanne Lenglen in Paris and I was playing for double points in grand slams. "If I do that, maybe things are actually possible I didn't think were".
"I'm playing for titles at this stage of my career". How well I'm feeling, as well.
"Also I was just not able to set up properly on the balls. They really did the best they could, really helped a lot".
