A couple hundred protesters have targeted the Minnesota city where a police officer worked after a jury acquitted him in the fatal shooting of a black motorist past year.
Yanez shot into Philando Castile's vehicle seven times after Castile told him he was carrying a gun.

"When an officers learns a black person is carrying legally, "they are not necessarily going to relax, but they now have an idea about your character", Ector said".
Castile's mother stated in an interview outside the courthouse that Yanez got away with murder.

Protestors marched from the state capitol in St. Paul and, as they did past year, about 500 marched down the ramps onto Interstate 94, blocking traffic on the busiest traffic connection between the Twin Cities.
About 100 people gathered in front of the St. Anthony Police Department about noon Sunday in an event called "Father's Day for Philando".
Authorities arrested 18 people during a protest of the acquittal of a suburban Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed a black driver. In light of the officer's clearance, black gun owners are concerned about admitting they are licensed to carry to police officers, reports NBC Washington.

The officer testified Castile ignored his commands not to pull out the gun and he feared for his life. Two holdouts eventually agreed after five days.
