CLEVELAND (AP) - The celebrating after Game 4 was done by Cavaliers fans, not Golden State players, their families or anyone else dressed in blue and gold who came looking for a historic party.

Perfection has been denied.

Game 4 in Cleveland will be shown on the huge overhead scoreboard at Oracle, the seats are all tinged in gold and a huge "Strength In Numbers" banner - the team motto - is on display as well.

No NBA team had overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals until LeBron James and the Cavs did it a year ago, storming back and stunning defending champion Golden State. For a team suspected of dragging its tongues on the floor late in these games, the Cavs fixed all accusations of being exhausted by building a double-digit lead they couldn't blow.

Kevin Love made six 3-pointers and added 23 points for Cleveland, which made 24 3s, another Finals mark.

LeBron James surpasses Magic Johnson with his record ninth Finals triple-double.

Thus far, the only thing that has been seen to give the Warriors problems has been an excess of turnovers that can at times get them in trouble - but given their offensive firepower and high-level switch-happy defense, it hasn't proved to be much of an obstacle through an undefeated run in these playoffs. Overall, the 154 points between the teams marked the highest-scoring half in Finals history. Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1,317) and Mr. Logo himself, Jerry West (1,679), have scored more points in the Finals. James rested for the first 97 seconds of the fourth quarter but two quick Warriors' 3-pointers hastened his return as Golden State surged within 115-104. Golden State will be at full strength this time, and while the Warriors have finally lost a game, they haven't lost any confidence.

"At the end of the day we've just got some resilient guys", James said. "I think it was we played a desperate team on their home floor, a great team, with great players, and they came out and handed it to us".

With the Warriors unbeaten in the postseason and a victory away from a second title in three years, a number of former players have said their teams would have beaten them. "So even when you're playing well, you got to play like A-plus plus, because they're going to make runs and they're going to make shots and they got guys that's going to make plays".

"Kevin Durant scored 35 points but the Warriors could never slow down the Cavs and missed their chance for the NBA's first flawless postseason". Draymond Green had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

When Stephen Curry walked into Quicken Loans Arena Friday night for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Odell Beckham Jr. was waiting for him.

Cleveland clinched 3 consecutive victories to take the championship away and become the first-ever team in the National Basketball Association to come back from a 3-to-1 deficit.

Curry, of the best shooters in basketball history, had his worst game of the Finals, scoring a mere 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting.

The top-seeded Warriors, who had won their first 15 games of the playoffs, will get another chance to close out the series in front of their home fans on Monday.

The Warriors thought they were carving out their place in history when they set a record with 73 wins last season. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 pm ET.
