West Ham United want to sign Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore according to reports today.

The Burkina Faso star - who made his global debut aged just 15 - has not played for Chelsea since May 2016 and he might be moved on before he can add to his ten Premier League Blues appearances.

However, West Ham do not appear to be alone in the race to secure Traore's signature.

The African winger netted nine goals in 22 Eredivisie starts and also helped the Dutch giants reach the Europa League final, where they lost to Manchester United.

Tory-DUP deal 'would be bad news for women'
The election result leaves Westminster in chaos with just 10 days before the Brexit negotiations are due to begin . Most of the major parties had ruled out a formal coalition with the Tories until the DUP stepped forward.

The forward joined the Premier League champions in 2014 and spent time on loan at Vitesse until he earned a work permit.

The report adds that West Ham could yet be left disappointed as Everton may request Traore to be included in a deal for Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku, and so it seems that there will be plenty of talks and movement at Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.

Traore is a talented young attacker, but is he worth £17million? West Ham do need a winger and for a much lesser price Traore should be considered a must buy due to his age and ability.
