In February, former Donald Trump campaign adviser Carter Page told Judy Woodruff on the PBS NewsHour that he had "no meetings" with Russian officials a year ago. In 2004, he started working at Merrill Lynch's office, before becoming the COO and president.
"I have no comment", Page said.
"All of this false evidence that you've been hearing about myself with the dodgy dossier and other false reports going back through most of last summer, well, that will - that will have very different implications, so this is a real game changer if it turns out to be true", Page said, referring to a controversial report ccompiled by a former British spy that alleges ties between Trump and Russian Federation. "Steve is a good guy", Trump told the Post, but cautioned that if the infighting doesn't stop, he'll intervene.
"I don't want to have people's lives disrupted if I told you a name there would be dozens of calls to that individual in minutes", Page said.
Page lashed back, expanding on earlier denials that he had proper ties to Russian Federation. Page's name is a familiar one in regard to the Trump-Russia stories, but he first came to the attention of the feds in 2013, before the campaign, because of his contacts with a Russian spy suspect.
The Washington Post also cited the infamous "golden showers" dossier compiled by British spy Christopher Steele, which Page dismissed as "the dodgy dossier". A former Trump campaign adviser told the Post he submitted several policy memos to the campaign, but his request for a meeting with Trump was never granted. And so ever since basically the summer, the end of the summer, you've seen the administration really distance itself from Page.
Ronaldo 'wants another Bayern double'
Pepe will also be missing from both matches with two broken ribs, while Raphael Varane has a thigh injury. Asked to explain his impressive record in big matches, Zidane said: "I think it is the DNA of this club".
Pressed by Fox News on allegations that he provided energy documents to a Russian intelligence operative, he said, "It was the same energy documents that I quote unquote sent, gave to my students at NYU". That said, a federal counter-espionage investigation into Russia's interference, and the Trump campaign's possible cooperation with Moscow's operation, remains ongoing.
When Stephanopoulos pressed on whether in any of these conversations Page discussed a possible lifting of USA sanctions against Russia, Page said he wasn't sure.
The Post also reports that Page is the only American whose communications were directly targeted for surveillance as part of the Trump probe a year ago.
FBI Director James Comey in March confirmed his agency has been investigating for months whether the Russian government, under the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, attempted to influence the outcome of the US election. Page acknowledged that he was the anonymous "Male-1" identified in an unsealed Federal Bureau of Investigation complaint detailing the spies' attempts to gather "economic intelligence" from Page and others to send back to Moscow. There are extensions for the warrants and the one for Carter Page was extended at least once.
The Trump campaign insisted late in the fall that Page was merely an "informal foreign policy adviser" who did 'not speak for Mr. Trump or the campaign'.
The campaign adviser said Page participated in three dinners held for the campaign's volunteer foreign policy advisers in the spring and summer of 2016, coming from NY to Washington to meet with the group.
