Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurein on Wednesday warned Pakistan of "serious consequences" if the death sentence against alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was not revoked immediately.
On Monday, April 10 Indian RAW agent Kulbushan was awarded death sentence through FGCM by Pakistan Army for carrying out sabotage activities in Karachi and Balochistan.
Reacting strongly, to the death sentence awarded to Kulbhushan Jadhav, India said it will consider it a "premeditated murder" if Pakistan carries out the death sentence, "without observing basic norms of law and justice".
Kasuri said both the sides must not allow things to drift away and that it is in Pakistan's interest to have good relations with India.
"We want to know whether the sentence is right, and right as in, whether the conviction is right, then the question comes of what kind of punishment for that". Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had also assured that the Centre will do everything possible to save Jadhav. "We need to engage with each other and resolve disputes", Janjua was quoted as saying by the official Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). All political parties have come together in their goal to get justice for Jadhav. "How can he be a spy and carry an Indian passport?".
"Death sentence is a deliberate provocation to India".
It was the first direct interaction between the army chief and the prime minister.
Louis sues NFL for more than $1 billion over loss of Rams
Louis Post-Dispatch , Brian McCarthy, NFL vice president of communications stated that the move to Los Angeles was done fairly. The Rams finished 4-12 in their first season back in Los Angeles and haven't had a winning record in any season since 2003.
Pakistan was "fully equipped" to deal with all such "elements with an iron fist", its Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told the Senate in an obvious reference to Indian warnings.
Jadhav has forty days time to appeal against the military court order. But now, Shashi Tharoor is supporting the opinion of the Centre that it shouldn't be politicized. One move would be to identify a "high-value" Pakistani prisoner in India's custody and negotiate a trade-off.
"There are certain countries that finance and arm the Pakistani military".
Musharraf also noted it would be wise for Pakistan to expect prospective backlash when the Indian government takes the matter up on global forums. Pakistan may also be trying to tell the worldwide community that India is interfering in its internal affairs, in response to India's evidence on Islamabad's promotion of terrorist activities in this side of the border.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena supporters took out a procession in Mumbai to condemn Islamabad and demand Jadhav's immediate release.
Carrying placards and banners with anti-Pakistani slogans, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leaders and workers said Jadhav was innocent.
The terminology used by the Indian Minister is nothing but a naked threat to Pakistan and this is in line with New Delhi's track record of trying to intimidate its neighbours especially Pakistan and dictate its terms. "Remember that the world had appealed to General Zia ul-Haq not to hang Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, but he ignored the appeals and killed Bhutto", he said.
