Belichick calls Deflategate 'ridiculous', Hernandez case 'a tragedy'

I'm going to say a word and I just want your immediate, snap reaction. Ok? In said interview, Belichick let the world know his real thoughts on Deflategate, Aaron Hernandez, his legacy, and more.

I wouldn't recommend watching the whole interview, which is stuffed full of vague platitudes, seasoned with forced sentimentality, and smothered with the requisite patriotism, but if you really want to you can see it here.

Belichick doesn't shy away from controversies in his career, such as the Deflategate saga that saw star quarterback Tom Brady suspended for four games and the Patriots fined $1 million after allegations of tampering with footballs. "I enjoy all parts of the game - the team building, training camp, game days, the excitement of Sundays".

Fans of the Patriots' rival teams probably don't think it was quite as ridiculous as some other people do, but that's to be expected.

Bill Belichick: The goal. We are in a professional sport and it is competitive to win.

Iran's Ahmadinejad to Run for President, Again
Even many hard-liners believe the council will disqualify Ahmadinejad and Baghaei, who was briefly jailed on corruption charges. He vowed to serve the Iranians, and try hard for the establishment of "justice and freedom" if he was re-elected as President.

Asked for a word to describe the former Patriots tight end, who is serving a life sentence for murder and is on trial for a separate double-murder, Belichick responded with "tragedy".

Suzy Welch: Don't think about it?

Belichick: No. Right now, 2017. "I'm good. Certainly good here this year".
