Unusually, the United Kingdom has managed to hold on to good weather for most of June and July but it wouldn't be British summer without rain.
Scattered thunderstorms and intense downpours could affect the Newark area tomorrow, according to the Met Office.

The Met Office said some places covered by the warning could miss showers "altogether", but where the rain falls it will be heavy, and may lead to surface water flooding.
Frequent lightning might bring disruption to power networks on both days across all regions, it added.
"Large hail may also cause impacts on Wednesday afternoon".
Looking ahead past the weather warning shows some cooler temperatures, with Thursday through until the weekend expected to remain around 18C.
Forecasters have warned that thundery showers are expected across the south and east of England, the Midlands and Wales on Tuesday, while the North will be affected the following day.
