Oppressive heat to build across central Plains this week
Highs on Wednesday will be in the middle to upper 90s, but the heat index will climb into the 105-110 range by afternoon. Monday will be similar to Sunday in terms of the heat and humidity, but will quickly ramp up after that.

On Monday, pop-up showers and storms are possible once again, but coverage looks even lower. Highs will be in the low 80s Friday through Sunday.

BEACH FORECAST: The weather at the beach will consist of daily chances for showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80s. The enhances chance for rain continues through Monday.
