Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed that Arsenal will permit the sale of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the upcoming week.

The Poland global spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma, making 81 appearances and made some convincing display under the bar which reportedly caught the eye of Juventus who are now ready to offer him a £70k-per week contract.

Szczesny will become Gigi Buffon's back-up for the 2017/18 campaign and will fill his boots from the 2018/19 season becoming Juventus' first-choice goalkeeper.

With first team chances at Arsenal limited, Szczesny is ending his spell with the Gunners and moving to last season's Champions League runners-up.

Szczesny has only a year left on his Gunners contract, and an exit has emerged as the suitable option as it would benefit both the player as well as the club. Juventus and Arsenal are in the final stages of concluding the deal with the fee expected to be around £10m.

Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday report the Serie A champions have chose to accelerate on getting at least two players in before the club departs on their preseason tour to the United States, and those two are the aforementioned goalkeeper and Federico Bernardeschi from Fiorentina.
