Coming up on The Now: Milwaukee at 6:30 p.m.: Reporter Shaun Gallagher talks with Russell Beckman about his lawsuit against the Chicago Bears. However you choose to cast Russell Beckman-a Green Bay Packers mega-fan living in Chicago-he's "plaintiff" as far as the Chicago Bears and the courts are concerned: Beckman is suing the team after they allegedly wouldn't allow him to wear his Packer regalia on the field during pregame events. "I feel like the Bears are diminishing that". "During the 2014 and '15 seasons, he wore Green Bays Packers attire without the Bears objecting, the complaint said". I doubt it. However, that could change next season as your team continues to move towards the creation of segregated safe spaces for Bear fans who suffer from anxiety due to the presence of greater numbers of opposing fans in your publicly owned and financed stadium.
The Bears didn't respond to a message seeking comment Monday.
"Beckman has redeemed his season-ticket reward points to hang out on the sidelines while the teams warm up before home games for the past three National Football League seasons". He went in Packers apparel anyway and was turned away. Please know that you really do not understand that your fans are tough, resilient, and worthy of my respect.
In a letter to the National Football League complaining about the policy, Beckman notes he followed both the Packers and Bears as a child before picking the Packers as his No. 1 team. He had earned enough reward points to participate in a pre-game fan experience on the (sometimes) green grass of Soldier Field. He also sent a certified letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, according to the lawsuit, but did not receive a response.

Police said they had deployed extra officers "to reassure communities, especially those observing Ramadan". Several people were injured , police said Monday, adding that one person had been arrested.
He said he generally only attends games at Soldier Field when the Packers are playing the Bears.
He said he isn't out to hurt the Bears' reputation; he just wants to enjoy the entire experience while representing his favorite team.
Beckman said he doesn't drink and considers himself a well-behaved fan. Of course, I paid for the passes and will purchase food and beverages in that venue using my green and gold "Packer NLF [sic] Extra Points" Visa card.
