The law firm representing them said in a letter: "By now, it should be clear to NBC that airing the interview will cause serious emotional distress to dozens of Sandy Hook families".
The recording features Kelly appearing to compliment the way Jones handled himself during a recent custody case, telling him, "I saw a different side of you in that whole thing...."
