A single winning Powerball ticket matching all six numbers was sold in California and will claim an estimated $447.8 million jackpot, lottery officials said.
California Lottery officials said the retailer where the winning ticket was sold will receive a $1 million "retailer bonus". The victor has one year to claim the 10th largest lottery prize in USA history, according to Powerball spokesman Randy Miller.
The exact location of the victor isn't immediately known, but the lucky soul who picked 20-26-32-38-58, and Powerball 3, was based in the Golden State.
After weeks with no winning numbers, one lucky ticket was sold in California Saturday night.
Forty-two workers claimed a $1 million Powerball prize Friday at Rhode Island lottery headquarters, a representative for the group told WJAR. That prize was split among three winnners.
The store is located in the midst of Sun City, a retirement community off Interstate 215 in Menifee, about 70 miles north of San Diego.
"There was one victor sold by the California Lottery for the last drawing's $447,800,000 grand prize", according to a statement.

He condemned the alleged attack on a television crew when Deepa entered the Poes Garden residence of the late AIADMK supremo. Responding to a question, he said it would be proved soon that the "cadres are with us".
"It's a very good feeling to be the winning store", said Matthew Alberre in an interview with NBC News.
The year began terribly for the family because Alberre's father was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.
Prizes range from $4 to the jackpot amount.

It had been estimated a $435 million before the drawing. The odds of winning were only one in 292.2 million.
