Microsoft led with the big news, giving both an official name and a release date to Project Scorpio. It's not something that can happen if the system is prohibitively expensive, which the Xbox One X is. More original titles will be announced later this year, closer to the One X's launch on November 7th. Gamers can enjoy low-latency experiences on Xbox One X with FreeSync 2 display support, and developers are adding in key optimization enhancements to run games in native 4K 60FPS, such as Turn10's new Forza 7 game. Then, once the price comes down or you are ready to upgrade, the Xbox One X will make all of your existing games look and play better.

Now there's a logo you wouldn't have expected to see at Microsoft's 2017 Xbox E3 press event.

Before the 2013 release of that console, Microsoft pitched the Xbox One primarily as an entertainment hub, turning off a portion of the dedicated audience accustomed to shelling out hundreds of dollars for a gaming machine. There will be at least 42 games on the console, 22 of which will be exclusive. Sony debuted a more expensive and powerful PlayStation 4 Pro, though sales underwhelmed analysts, which some attributed to the device's $399 price tag, $50 to $100 above standard-issue consoles.

Conservatives To Form Govt With DUP
May called the DUP her "friends and allies", and aims to have an informal partnership with them to govern. But former party leader Iain Duncan Smith said a leadership contest now would be a "catastrophe".

Shortly into his appearance on the show, Keighley asked Greenberg about the pricing which he described as "double the price of an Xbox One S".

Perhaps the worst-kept secret of E3, Microsoft debuted the new Assassin's Creed: Origins, taking place in Ancient Egypt and featuring everything from Pyramid-scaling to gladiatorial combat to angry hippos. It's unclear if the game will release in early access on Xbox One, although we're hoping for a full release later this year. The PS4 Pro, however, isn't capable outputting 4K visuals natively.

"We now assume a Project Scorpio price point of $499/€499/£429", explained IHS Markit's Piers Harding-Rolls. It resembles much more of a DVR than a gaming console, a sign of maturity in gaming design and an understanding it'll likely be on display in your living room.
