While acquiring Chris Sale from the Chicago White Sox cost some solid prospects and money, it's safe to say that so far it has been the right deal for Boston. Thanks, though, to every starter collecting a hit (sans Dustin Pedroia), Boston was able to win their second straight. This wraps up a dominant series against the Rays for Kimbrel, who has pitched in three straight games.

Moreland, 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a walk on the day, stepped to the plate after Hanley Ramirez walked to load the bases with one out in the seventh.

Rockies 5, Giants 0: Tyler Chatwood pitched 52/3 flawless innings and finished with a two-hitter for Colorado in his first big league shutout.

Ramirez got a run back in the Boston first on his two-out, opposite field RBI single.

He was only able to record four outs against the Orioles on the 12th, and they tagged him for eight runs on eight hits, including four home runs, while he was able to pick up a strikeout, it was bad.

The 29-year-old last played in the majors on October 4, 2015, with Milwaukee. The righty allowed two other hits and struck out two.

Right-hander Jake Odorizzi has been put on the 10-day disabled list by the Tampa Bay Rays because of a strained left hamstring. In 2000, he gave up 23 runs in three games.

Pomeranz did look encouraging in striking out ten of the possible 13 outs he was responsible for. "I'm going to come out here and try to do everything to help the team win".

The Tampa Bay Rays hit a season high four homers including a Grand Slam by Logan Morrison en route to a 10-5 win over the Boston Red Sox.

While the Toronto Blue Jays have had a rough start, the rest of the division is very close in the standings, a tight race that will most likely remain until the bitter end of the regular season.
