Wilfried Zaha: Sam Allardyce says star could leave if price is right

Earlier on Wednesday, Palace chairman Steve Parish said that he was "very confident" of being able to keep Zaha despite growing interest from a number of clubs.

He is on £35,000 a week and a new deal could bring Zaha in line with the top earners at Palace, who are on around £100,000 a week, but his outstanding form has raised questions about whether the club can keep him.

The ex-Manchester United player had been in superb form for Palace this season, alerting the like of City and Tottenham to his availability.

He said: "Wilf, us and the clubs that want him will decide his future in the end".

And if he continues his excellent levels of performance, nobody would be surprised to see him move away from the Eagles during the summer, especially with Tottenham monitoring his progress, and Allardyce admitting that a huge offer could be impossible to refuse (Evening Standard).

That is realistic. Hopefully, we do not get to that point for a long time but it may be a possibility. Because it is a rare talent.

Whether it's an ageing nucleus of players coming to the end of their contracts or replacing individuals with new stars who fit his ideas and style of play better, there is more than likely going to be significant movement in the transfer market for City and Zaha is seemingly now part of that plan.

Moussa Sissoko, who arrived at White Hart Lane for £30million last summer, has flopped big-time, while Erik Lamela has missed the majority of the campaign through injury.

The DR Congo global played on the opposite flank to Zaha during his days with Crystal Palace and the pair often struck fear into several Premier League defenders. It is called China.
