"The designation is not based on a specific incident but on the basis of evidence shared with members of the 1267 Sanctions Committee linking Masood Azhar to terrorism. The (UN) notification is not supposed to be a bio-data of the terrorist and include all acts of terrorism perpetrated by him", Kumar added.
"Big, small, all join together".
The major diplomatic development came a day after China hinted of positive progress on India's demand of declaring Masood Azhar a global terrorist.
The United Nations added Masood Azhar, leader of a Pakistan-based armed group, to its list of "global terrorists" on Wednesday after China lifted its objections to the move.
Indians portrayed the United Nations' listing Jaish-e-Muhmamad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist as a diplomatic win for New Delhi despite the global peace organisation's security council dropping any reference to the Pulwama attack.
China removed its hold on the proposal, which was moved by France, UK and the U.S. in the Security Council's 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee in February just days after the deadly Pulwama terror attack carried out by the Pakistan-based terror outfit JeM.
The proposal had been brought forward by the US, Britain and France after the Kashmir attacks - the deadliest in the disputed region during a 30-year-long insurgency.
Facebook and Instagram ban Alex Jones and other far-right extremists
Any account that shares Infowars content will have it removed, and face a permanent ban for multiple " violations ". Though he's not a far-right extremist , Facebook also banned Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan .
China lifted its "temporary hold" on the proposal spearheaded by the French and backed by the United Kingdom and the US.
The Hyderabad MP alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi compromised over the issue as the blacklisting proposal had no mention of terrorist attacks at Pulwama, Uri, Pathankot and on the Indian Parliament for which Azhar was responsible. "Under worldwide pressure and effect of India's diplomacy that hurdle was removed yesterday (Wednesday) and it has come as a big opportunity for India in its fight against terrorism", she said. Since India's neighboring nation is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, it has the power to veto any proposal.
The UN sanctions committee on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) and al-Qaeda announced in a press release the designation of Azhar - the chief of Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) - over his ties to al-Qaeda.
"We support the issue of listing of Masood Azhar which should be resolved through political consultation within the framework of 1267 Committee".
The Pakistani said it would immediately enforce the sanctions, but also took aim at India.
"Formal action will be taken on three counts: assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo". He added that according to Pakistan's FATF obligations, Pakistan has to "demonstrate effective implementation of targeted financial sanctions (supported by a comprehensive legal obligation) against all 1267 and 1373 designated terrorists and those acting for or on their behalf, including preventing the raising and moving of funds, identifying and freezing assets (movable and immovable), and prohibiting access to funds and financial services".
