Sri Lanka have denied Zimbabwe their first series away win in 16 years by chasing down a record 388 to win the one-off Test by four wickets in Colombo. Sri Lanka's previous best was against South Africa in 2006, when they chased down 352 runs.

Dilruwan Perera also remained unbeaten at the crease at 29 runs in Lanka's chase.

Another notable performance in the match was of Sikandar Raza, who struck his maiden Test century to guide Zimbabwe to 377 in their second innings after being reduced to 252-6.

Zimbabwe's tour to Sri Lanka is already proving to be historic.

Zimbabwe skipper Graeme Cremer dented the hosts with his leg-spin, claiming the important wickets of Upul Tharanga (27) and his opposite number Dinesh Chandimal (15).

The officials were quoted as saying it was unclear if the UAE had hacked the sites itself or paid for them to be hacked. UAE Ambassador to the US Yousef al-Otaiba also denied the report in a statement, saying it was "false", the Post said .

Gunaratne, who played most of the Test as a batsman after injuring his hamstring in the first innings, tackled the Zimbabwe spinners easily during his 151-ball stay.

Dickwella first survived a stumping chance on 37 and was then dropped by wicketkeeper Regis Chakabva on 63 to put the hosts on course.

Mendis though was out early on the fifth morning to Zimbabwe captain Graeme Cremer, only adding six runs to his overnight total as the visitors made the flawless start. "The one-day series is a high point for us, we brought that confidence into the Test match and it gave us the belief that we could push the big teams".

Gunaratne also hit six boundaries while keeping his nerves down to see his team through and earned the man-of-the-match award.

Zimbabwe had batted first and posted a total of 356 all out thanks to an monumental knock of 160 from Craig Ervine with Sri Lanka replying with 346, Cremer taking five wickets.
