In all four special congressional elections that have taken place since Donald Trump's election, Republicans have used attack ads to portray Democratic candidates as allies of Pelosi.

Whether it's cultural arrogance, uninspirational policies or lousy candidates, Americans have been choosing Republicans to represent their districts over Democrats-despite the fact that members of the GOP are routinely mocked and laughed at in the mainstream media and on late-night television programs.

Trump himself weighed in over Twitter Thursday morning with digs at Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of NY. Pelosi asked. "Well, I'm a master legislator. That would be very bad for the Republican Party - and please let Cryin' Chuck stay!"

In campaign ads and election flyers, Republicans successfully tied the policies and beliefs of newcomer Ossoff to House minority leader Pelosi.

Tim Ryan said , "You know what?" 'We'd love to have the question be in 2018, Nancy Pelosi versus Paul Ryan, ' Gingrich added. House of Representatives since Donald Trump became president, and haven't been able to capitalize on any of them.

It really comes down to the question of whether you think there's something particularly problematic about Pelosi-maybe anyone in charge of leading congressional Democrats would become just as much of a villain as she is.

Of course, no one better personifies all the qualities Americans hate about Democrats than one of the party's own leaders: House Minority Leader and Wicked Witch of the West Coast Nancy Pelosi.

"Why is Representative Pelosi so utterly disliked by left-wing Democrats?" The Washington Times reported in 2010 that although Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele faced a steep climb to recoup Republican losses, he managed to do so by focusing campaigns on Nancy Pelosi's unpopularity: "Mr. Steele did, however, try to rile up the committee and got a standing ovation with calls to fire House Speaker Nancy Pelosi".

But Pelosi continues to command great loyalty from many in the House, and she insisted her position was not in jeopardy. "We don't agonize. We organize".
