US Senator John McCain says North Korea has murdered Otto Warmbier, an American student who died days after his release from detention there.
The Hamilton County coroner's office announced there is an investigation into Warmbier's death.
Sammarco said more interviews with physicians from the Unviersity of Cincinatti Medical Center will be conducted, and medical records reviewed, in lieu of the autopsy.
"Unfortunately, the bad torturous mistreatment our son received at the hands of the North Koreans ensured that no other outcome was possible beyond the sad one we experienced today", Warmbier's parents said in a statement announcing his passing.
Mr Warmbier's doctors said his brain injury was most likely to have been caused by cardiopulmonary arrest cutting the blood supply to the brain.
Yet, he wanted to make clear that any American "stupid" enough to travel to North Korea for leisure after what they just witnessed should be made to sign on the dotted line promising not to blame the US for whatever may transpire.
American doctors who examined Otto found evidence of severe brain damage that may have been caused by a traumatic injury, according to Town Hall.
We do know that the 22-year-old university student was medically evacuated from North Korea on 13 June and flown to the USA where he died on 19 June.
In March 2016, Kim Dong Chul, a 62-year-old Korean-American missionary, was sentenced to 10 years of hard labour for subversion.
Zaman thought he would miss Champions Trophy final
In reply, India were all out for 158 runs in 30.3 overs. "At this stage, the next Champions Trophy is still scheduled for India in 2021".
Though North Korea has claimed that Warmbier's coma was due to botulism and a sleeping pill, his family and doctors have rejected it.
An American college student who was released by North Korea in a coma has died in Ohio.
"It's [North Korea] a brutal regime, and we'll be able to handle it", he told reporters later.
The US says it is concerned by North Korea's nuclear and missile tests.
Warmbier visited North Korea in January 2016 on a sightseeing tour.
U.S. President Donald Trump blamed the "brutality of the North Korean regime" for Warmbier's death. North Korea accuses Washington and South Korea of sending spies to overthrow its government. The 22-year-old USA student died on 19 June shortly after being freed from a detention facility in North Korea. Warmbier's parents said their son appeared anguished when he arrived home but died "at peace".
The college student had been detained for allegedly trying to steal a propaganda slogan from his Pyongyang hotel. "We want to see three other Americans who were unjustly detained brought home as soon as possible".
A tour agency that took Mr Warmbier into North Korea before he was detained for 18 months has said it will stop taking Americans into the reclusive state.
"It's a total disgrace what happened to Otto", Trump said yesterday.
