Senate Republicans steered toward a potential showdown vote on their long-awaited health care bill next week, despite indications that they've yet to solidify the 50 GOP votes they'll need to avert an embarrassing defeat. Without backroom deals and struck behind closed doors?
"The presumed 8 million reduction in the number of people with individual insurance looks more like an artifact of inflated coverage estimates than the effect of Obamacare repeal", write Badger and Turner.
Paul believes the bill now being drafted includes new entitlement programs, which he says will be a deal breaker for his support. And, yes millions of people losing their insurance are going to blame Republicans in control of Congress and President Trump, not Barack Obama and the Democrats.
