Real Madrid president Florentino Perez Rodríguez will stay chairperson of the club for another four years, after no other candidates were eligible to compete him over the presidency.

This has sparked rumors that Ronaldo is seeking a move away from Real Madrid, and that he would like to go back to England for a second stint with Manchester United.

Numerous media outlets recently claimed that the four-time Ballon d'Or victor is keen to quit the Bernabeu due to the tax case looming over him.

In 2015, El Confidencial report that Ronaldo paid 5.6 million euros voluntarily to the tax authorities in Madrid.

There have been reports that the 32-year-old is interested in a return to Old Trafford, although Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned as a possible destination.

The forward had helped United win three Premier League titles and the Champions League in his six years at the club, and had also won the Ballon d'Or.

"No one has sent us an offer for either Cristiano or anyone else", Perez told Onda Cero radio station.

An imam told British media he had protected the suspect from the crowd until police arrived to arrest him. Eight people were taken to hospital while two others were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Kylian Mbappe and Gianluigi Donnarumma are targets for Real Madrid, according to president Florentino Perez, who dismissed a move for Manchester United's David de Gea.

The 70-year-old Perez, who ran unopposed, was reelected for a fifth four-year mandate at the Spanish powerhouse. Real Madrid has always had the best players in the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo is now on worldwide duty, playing in the Confederations Cup for Portugal. He started the Champions League final, played in his home city of Cardiff, on the bench.

"The team continue to believe in qualification, we have great possibilities, because there are still two games left". "We are delighted with him as a person and as a player".

The Portuguese has never enjoyed a good relationship with the Spanish media, just as obsessed with the cult of the individual as we are in Britain, and this latest scandal over his tax returns may have just pushed him irreversibly over the line.

"To this day, nobody has offered us anything for any player and we have not made any offer".

He added of Ronaldo's situation: "I want to talk with him".
