The SDLP and UUP lost all their seats, with Michelle Gildernew toppling the UUP's Tom Elliot in Fermanagh South Tyrone.
Varadkar said that members of Northern Ireland's DUP, who May is looking to for support in government to achieve a working majority, and the Scottish wing of the Conservative party would favour free trade with Europe and a common travel area between Northern Ireland and the Republic.
Sinn Fein has also enjoyed an increased mandate, winning seven seats, while Independent MP Lady Sylvia Hermon was also returned - albeit with a significantly smaller majority.
"There is no danger whatsoever of us taking our seats in the Westminster parliament", he said.
Mr Adams said the republican party is ready to do business with the DUP and the other main political parties in a bid to salvage devolution. He said no pact, no deal, no coalition. The party is clear that they do not want a "hard Brexit" due to their stance on having a hard border with Ireland.

"This is flawless territory for the DUP obviously because if the Conservatives are just short of an overall majority, it puts us in a very, very strong negotiating position and it is one we would take up with relish", Mr Jeffrey Donaldson told BBC television.
