The explosion at the Didion Milling Plant in Cambria, a rural village about 45 miles northeast of Madison, killed three workers and injured almost a dozen others.
Seventeen people were said to be working inside the plant at the time of the explosion. Two were treated and released and 12 were transported to hospitals via ambulances, Med Flight and Flight for Life. So it's going to affect the whole area.
In total, 16 people were in the building when the explosion occurred at the site 35 miles from Madison. Doucette says investigators are trying to determine whether there's a link between that fire and the explosion. It was unclear whether the blast occurred in that part of the facility.
"It's hard to see families struggling", he said.
Company officials did not have updates on the other 11 employees who were injured.
Nearby highways were closed as a result of the explosion and local schools were closed Thursday, considering the hundreds of homes and businesses that lost power after the explosion. Officials tell WISC-TV in Madison there will a news briefing sometime Thursday morning. In a news conference on Thursday, Columbia County Sheriff Dennis Richards said that the blast was reported around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. "A big explosion happened, then everything just collapsed", Hernandez said.

The proposal also faces obstacles in Congress, where Democrats and some Republicans oppose it. The group Flyers' Rights calls it the "creation of an airline-controlled corporate monopoly".
CAMBRIA-Some residents shaken by the Didion Milling explosion late Wednesday gathered in a prayer vigil at First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. Florence St., Cambria, Thursday evening.
Bay State Milling, based in Quincy, Massachusetts U.S., issued a statement via its Twitter account stating, "We were extremely saddened to hear about last night's explosion at Didion Milling, a corn milling facility in Wisconsin".

Didion Milling employs more than 200 people at multiple facilities around southern Wisconsin. The company stores, mills and transports corn products, and specializes in ethanol production, according to Didion Milling's website and LinkedIn page.
