As talks continue between the DUP and Conservatives over a potential confidence-and-supply arrangement to support Theresa May's minority government, Mrs Foster said: "When I meet with the Prime Minister in London tomorrow, I will be mindful of our responsibility to help bring stability to the nation at this time of challenge".
The DUP's Michelle McIlveen also blocked the introduction of climate change legislation in the Northern Ireland parliament last December when she was environment minister, according to The Belfast Telegraph-making Northern Ireland the only place in the United Kingdom not to have passed its own laws to cut carbon emissions.
Its key slogan during the campaign turned out to be rather prescient: "A vote for the DUP team is a vote to send "Team Northern Ireland" to Westminster".
May's two top aides, Nick Timothy and Fiona Hill, announced they had quit yesterday, following sustained criticism of the campaign within the party.
