North Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned President Donald Trump for pulling the United States out of the Paris agreement on climate change, dubbing it a "shortsighted and silly decision".
The bills' signage came with the support of four Hawaiian county mayors, who have joined hundreds of other mayors across the US in signing a commitment agreement.
Noting that the Trump administration had announced June 1 that the USA would leave the landmark agreement, the unnamed official said that this was because of the president's "America First" policies and an ignorance "of the fact that the protection of the global environment is in their own interests". "When climate change is threatening our reefs and threatening our weather. then it's threatening our economy, too".
Gov. David Ige signed the sSnate bill on Tuesday, saying he was motivated by the evidence of climate change visible every day in Hawaii. Many called this move purely political - fulfilling a campaign promise that results in a weakening of the global effort to make the Earth's endangered climate great again.
State Sen. J. Kalani English, who introduced the bill, said the measure "gives us legal basis to continue adaptation and mitigation strategies for Hawai'i, despite the Federal government's withdrawal from the treaty". Another bill establishes a "Carbon Farming Task Force", which will evaluate agriculture and aquaculture practices for improved soil health and carbon sequestration. "That's why my administration and the Legislature are already taking concrete steps to implement the Paris Accord", Ige said in a statement after Trump announced the country's withdrawal.

Indeed, it is only by virtue of Falcinelli’s prowess in the final third that Crotone still remains in contention to survive. In Romelu Lukaku, Koeman has a player with the capability of firing Everton to far headier heights than seventh place.
In his written testimony, Comey described a March 30 phone call where he said that Trump stressed "the cloud" of the Russian Federation investigations was "interfering with his ability to make deals for the country and said he hoped I could find a way to get out that he wasn't being investigated". Hawaii is joining at least 12 other states that have formed the U.S. Climate Alliance and promised to remain committed to the goals in the Paris deal.
The accord's mandate is to reduce the global temperature to below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
The U.S.is now one of just three countries worldwide to be either outside the agreement or on their way out, with Syria and Nicaragua as the other two nations.
Dozens of mayors across the U.S. have also committed themselves to meeting the terms of the agreement.
Following Trump's announcement, numerous states and cities across the United States vowed to continue honoring the goals of the Paris Agreement.
