MashTalk: With iOS 11, Apple is giving the iPad a productive future

Apple Pro Motion technologyiPad Pro's stunning, redesigned Retina display features Pro Motion, a new technology that delivers refresh rates up to 120Hz for fluid scrolling, greater responsiveness and smoother motion content.

"We haven't seen everything yet, but based on what they talked about, my guess is that this will address 99% of the needs of professionals", said Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research, in an interview.

The annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is now in full swing in San Jose and the keynote address was used to make announcements that would generate even more publicity for Apple across the world. Apple updated its entire Mac lineup with the newer Kaby Lake processors and new Radeon Pro 500 series graphics card.

The refreshed iMac line features Kaby Lake CPUs across the board, brighter displays, faster SSD (solid-state drive) storage and graphics improvements that Apple claimed brought a three-times performance improvement to the smaller 21.5-in. systems.

Perhaps unexpectedly, the next most exciting unit on display was the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, running iOS 11.

With all the improvements and updates coming our way, it looks like Apple "cranked it up to 11" with the next iOS.Apple has announced iOS 11 at their latest developer conference and this free software update will be released to consumers this autumn.Apple has also finally stopped selling the iPad mini 2, so that could be chopped too.

What Apple do so effectively is get people to talk about their products. It's good news for anyone who didn't rush out and buy the last iterations, as the price has dropped for the entry-level Pro, compared to 2016's equivalent. The new machines come in configurations of 8-, 10-, or 18-core Xeon processors, with a memory cache of up to 42 MB.

The firm has "Outperform" rating by Macquarie Research given on Friday, November 27. 483,280 shares of the company traded hands. The stock of Marks and Spencer Group Plc (ADR) (OTCMKTS:MAKSY) has "Buy" rating given on Monday, November 14 by Citigroup.

As for the 27-inch iMac Pro (the only available size), all we know so far is that it will start - yes, start - at $4,999 (about £3,870, AU$6,680).

iOS 11 will give the new iPad Pro improved multitasking and file management capabilities.

San Jose: After a marathon set of announcements this morning, Apple invited press into a hands-on area for a brief play with their new Macs, iPads and the much hyped HomePod, Apple's take on the multi-room speaker. The MacBook Pro 2017 will even be made better for having better and longer battery life. It will also have up to 32GB of RAM.

Banks of iMacs and MacBook Pros were connected to HTC Vive VR headsets, a first for Apple computers.

For power-users, the MacBook Pro range has also had a facelift and a slight specs bump. The same premium, slim metal build is present with the Apple logo on the rear, slightly raised rear camera lens in the top left-hand corner and the Touch ID home button beneath the display on the front.
