At least 17 people were killed and 52 others injured in Tehran on Wednesday when gunmen mounted nearly simultaneous assaults on Iran's Parliament and the Mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini.
The IRNA news agency quoted Ahmad Fazelian, chief justice of Alborz Province west of Tehran as saying the seven are suspected of "providing support for the terrorist team".
"The terrorists were affiliated to the Wahabi and Takfiri groups who joined the Daesh terrorist group overseas and were red handed in the crimes of the terrorist group in Mosul, Iraq and Raqqah in Syria", Commander of the Law Enforcement Force Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari said.
Iran said Saturday it had killed the mastermind behind a terror attack in Tehran this week in which 17 people were killed, the country's Press TV reported. The Intelligence Ministry announced on Friday it had caught dozens of people affiliated with IS in four provinces.
"However, with cooperation of (intelligence) services that are close to Iran, he paid the price of his crimes on Saturday and was killed by Iran's security forces and our friends in the other intelligence services", he said.

IS has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombings and gun attacks on parliament and the mausoleum of the Republic's founder, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, on Wednesday. He did not however state which country had been involved.
The Intelligence Ministry said its forces stormed several "safe houses" linked to the group in the country's northwest, according to state television.
Security forces have found explosive vests and other equipment, as well as an abandoned auto, packed with at least 22 pistols, in Kermanshah province.
