Anaheim police and fire officials say 17 people, including six children, were hit by bird droppings just before 9 p.m. Friday. The incident was scary enough that a hazmat team responded to the scene in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Officers soon determined, however, that the geese who'd flown overhead were to blame.

The police said no crime had been committed and nobody was hurt or required transportation away from the park.

Anaheim Police Sergeant Daron Wyatt said the call was initially that up to 40 individuals had been struck by human feces, prompting the hazmat response. "All guests are healthy and happy".

The guests were taken to an area to get cleaned up and Disneyland provided them with clean clothes.

They were given clean clothing and released back into the park to enjoy the rest of the amusements.
