Surgery all that matters for Ibrahimovic - Mourinho realistic on United star's future

Mourinho, who signed a three-year deal when he was appointed as United boss last summer, feels this term can be the first of several "better years" for the club. I try to be honest and direct.

"This is not about myself and Guardiola, so I think now is the correct approach".

With United failing to mount a Premier League title challenge this campaign, the Portuguese tactician admits the challenge he faces at Old Trafford is the one of most difficulty of all his managerial jobs - going as far to compare it to his time at the Santiago Bernabeu. It is just common sense.

"So I could never demand more from him".

Both teams have since fallen off the pace in a title race that is now the preserve of London, as Chelsea aim to hold off Tottenham's impressive charge, and a spot in the Champions League qualification places is the main concern this week in the north west, alongside matters of local pride.

Someone who has received praise of late from Mourinho is 19-year-old forward Marcus Rashford, scorer of three goals in United's last five games. I could just support and say that better days will arrive, but (I am) always super happy with the approach from such a young and talented kid.

Mahijoubi also said he could not prove that the hackers were linked to Russian Federation. Russian government officials have long denied claims of state-sanctioned hacking.

But asked if that was a calculated risk, Mourinho told Sky Sports on Tuesday (April 25): "I don't care".

"Some other guys don't give everything they have so that's the point". Players like him are certainly very important in a league like MLS. "They have to and when they do it, I'm happy with them, it doesn't matter how they perform".

"And the reality is even in the first season of better years we won already and we have already the chance to do good things until the end of the season. We just focus on the Premier League".

The report goes on to state that Mourinho will set the price he deems reasonable for De Gea to move and that, so long as the transfer "fits the interest" of United, it could happen this summer.

Mata's return would be a welcome boost to Mourinho, having lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the season with a knee injury, while Marcos Rojo is expected to be missing with a similar issue.
