This was a few weeks after UFC president Dana White said they are "nowhere" when it came to the talks between the two, although later in the month he suddenly thought the fight would be a go.
The 40-year-old Mayweather had already made that much for a guaranteed purse in his 2015 win over Manny Pacquiao, while the 28-year-old McGregor made a UFC-record $3M disclosed fight purse in his rematch with Nate Diaz last August. McGregor, who now holds the UFC lightweight title, made the list under the Pioneers branch, alongside names like Chance the Rapper, Jordan Peele, Yuriko Koike, Glenda Gray and Riz Ahmed.
"It depends on how much the fight sells", White said.
'And if the fight sells as well as I think it can, Floyd makes a little north of ($100) million and Conor makes $75 (million).
Speaking on "The Herd" show with Colin Cowherd on FOX Sports 1 yesterday, White revealed that he is nearly finished negotiating a deal with "The Notorious", but he still has to hammer out terms with Mayweather's advisors, who are led by Al Hayman.
Should White's estimate on how much money the duo would earn come true, McGregor is set to beat his highest career earnings from this single fight.
As expected, it will be a lucrative occasion for both fighters, with McGregor - if White is to be believed - in line to benefit from a substantial increase on what he's used to earning in the UFC.

Mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor, world football maestro Neymar and National Basketball Association champion LeBron James have each been named as part of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People list for 2017.
"It's not going to be the UFC - it's going to be a boxing match", White confirmed.
'But Conor wants this thing really bad and I've said it many times, the kid's stepped up and saved some big fights for me, man, so I'm in. Pictured: McGregor celebrates after defeating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 12, 2016. "I'll figure it out".
'The Conor side, we're good on the Conor side. "Maybe the Mayweather side can't be done".
'Maybe the other side can't be done, but we'll see.
