Rumble Johnson shocked everyone in the attendance and watching at home by attempting to out wrestle the Olympic wrestler in the opening round. Johnson started off strong in the first round as he caught Cormier in what appeared to be a fatal knee to the nose. Had Cormier been unable to magically shed 1.2 pounds in a matter of seconds, the UFC would have had a disaster on its hands, as the UFC 210 card is already a weak one. Cormier eventually got into top position and had no problem ending the fight with a rear naked choke - the same submission that he used to stop Johnson in their first fight.
Johnson's strategy may not have resulted in a win, but you have to think the 33-year-old is pleased with the result of the fight.
When Johnson last stepped into The Octagon against Daniel Cormier almost two years ago, he did so with the reputation of a hard-hitting mixed martial artist with one-punch knockout power, and put that skill set on display early.
His actions infuriated UFC president Dana White past year, who vowed he would not book Jones in a main event again because of the trouble it caused.
His decision to step away from the sport in the prime of his career was something nobody expected, but Johnson claimed that his team and family knew of his decision in advance.

Staff at Delta Airlines have been authorized to offer passengers up to nearly $10,000 if their flight is overbooked. Earlier this week, Delta announced it paid a family $11,000 not to fly after the airline overbooked a flight.

Johnson also dispelled any rumors about joining the Los Angeles Rams in any capacity, either as a player or in the front office.
"Of course I'd fight Jon Jones, but Jimi Manuwa said he wants a title fight".
UFC President Dana White said the UFC would be back to Buffalo.
