On Monday, Cedric Anderson, 53, of Riverside, arrived at the San Bernardino school shortly before 10:30 a.m.

In the aftermath of the shooting at North Park Elementary School, there is no shortage of people who need support.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Ruben Gutierrez did not hesitate.

The Greenwood police chief is talking about the importance of active shooter training in the wake of Monday's (April 10) school shooting in California.

The boy died at a hospital after being shot Monday in his classroom by the estranged husband of his teacher, Karen Smith, who also was killed. And he wanted him to have good associations with the place before it reopens next week. "But the Bible says, 'Thou shalt not kill.' So I can imagine where he [Anderson] is now". "To see that his school is safe".

"What I love about my wife", Anderson said on a video posted to his Facebook page, "she knows when to ignore me". This time - a teacher - Karen Smith - and her 8-year-old student - Jonathan Martinez - both killed by a crazed man with a gun.

It is unclear how many shots were fired, he added.

Burguan said Anderson, who had shown his identification to school employees in the front office before being allowed in to her class unescorted, kept his weapon concealed until opening fire without saying a word.

On Tuesday, the school district's superintendent said his family wanted to raise awareness of Williams syndrome, a genetic condition that Jonathan was born with, in memory of the boy.

They could go in one of several directions with the pick. "We've worked Mitch out and there's a lot to like about him". I know it's fluid for us, the process.

Children with the syndrome can have learning disabilities and heart problems akin to hardening of the arteries, frequently requiring surgery.

San Bernardino district superintendent Dale Marsden told ABC News that children with William's Syndrome tend to be very friendly and social. Anderson was also alleged to have threatened to kill his ex-wife. They included students who had been evacuated from their school; parents, teachers and volunteers who had rushed to Cajon High School in the afternoon to offer help; and longtime city residents who had watched yet another local tragedy play out on live television.

Smith and one of her students were fatally shot Monday at North Park Elementary School by Cedric Anderson, who also wounded another little boy before killing himself. "Her whole life was surrounded around kids and helping them, and helping them build a future". An 8-year-old boy died and another student is in stable condition.

Chief Dawson also said schools in Greenwood are doing an excellent job taking proper safety precautions.

"She thought she had a wonderful husband, but she found out he was not wonderful at all", Sykes told the Los Angeles Times. I love you momma more than anything in the world.

Jeffrey said students got out of their chairs and ran outside with their teacher when they heard gunshots.

Smith's loved ones told investigators that she had said she was concerned about her husband's odd behaviour and that he had made threats against her, but not to shoot her.

Smith's mom tells PEOPLE, "She decided she needed to get away from him". She's visiting God. So is Jonathan. "He's visiting God and they're happy there".
