The Samsung Galaxy S8 is just a few days away from the official launch but now, the company has stated that the new Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will not include one highlight feature - AI-powered Bixby assistant.
Samsung recently launched its much anticipated smartphone, the Galaxy S8 at an event in NY. This is especially relevant to the U.S. as the last infamous Note 7 was the last phone the company released in the United States, the Note lineup being Samsung's most advanced phones.
Samsung also announced that the new iris scan technology in the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will feature as an authentication method for Samsung Pay.
Samsung tells Axios that the Bixby Voice feature will not be ready in time for the Galaxy S8's launch on April 21.
Tech Crunch reported that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will delay its English version (meant for the western users) of Bixby voice assistant.

Unlike Cortana or Google Assistant, Bixby is deeply engraved to both software and hardware which is why Samsung was bullish about it at the time of the unveiling of Galaxy S8.
At the launch of the Samsung's latest flagship duo, the company showed off its virtual assistant - Bixby. Thats more than 5 times the S7 pre-orders (around 100,000) and almost triple what the Galaxy Note7 got (200,000, a record in itself).
The intelligent personal assistant from Samsung, Bixby, now only supports the English and Korean languages. It would be a safe bet if you could remap the Bixby button to something useful until the voice assistant feature is officially released.
"Anything you can do with touch, you can do with voice", Samsung representatives summed-up the feature. USA was supposed to be the only other market where Bixby Voice would be available at launch, but that is sadly not going to be the case anymore. PIN and fingerprint as authentication methods are also available - authentication is required before a user can make a transaction using Samsung Pay.
