Tropical Storm Cindy unleashes flooding, tornadoes along Gulf Coast
A tropical storm warning was in effect from San Luis Pass, Texas, to the Alabama-Florida line. The storm is expected to make landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border late today or tonight, although the heaviest rains and strongest winds are expected to occur east of where landfall occurs.

Tropical Storm Cindy expected to reach Gulf Coast tonight
Our New Orleans sister station, WWL-TV, says sustained winds of Tropical Storm force - above 38 miles per hour - have already started occurring along much of the Louisiana Gulf Coast, as well as parts of the MS coastline. Meteorologists say the precipitation will taper off Saturday as drier air enters Arkansas and as the remainder of the tropical storm pushes into Tennessee.

UK Queens husband Prince Philip, 96, admitted to hospital

There is likely to be concern for the Duke given his age of 96, but he was out of his hospital bed earlier on Wednesday and a Palace spokesman said he is in "good spirits". TS Cindy bringing heavy rains, storms to Gulf Coast
Tropical Storm Cindy has been causing rain in much of the Southeast. A tropical storm watch was issued Monday for the upper Texas Coast as a disturbance churns over the Gulf of Mexico. "People along the upper Gulf coast will also need to be vigilant for the risk of a few tornadoes and waterspouts through Thursday", according to AccuWeather Storm Warning Meteorologist Richard Schraeger.
