"So Carrie, as Leia, gets to be in the film". Today Disney delivered a trailer for The Rise of Skywalker, and though it doesn't have a lot of new footage from the movie, what's there is definitely worth checking out.
This time around, the surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more in the final chapter of the Skywalker saga, ultimately focusing on Rey's choice between the light and the dark.
But while one hero is firmly in place, another seems to have gone quite a bit astray! The latter is especially interesting considering the look Rey is rocking looks decidedly like someone who has turned to the dark side.
Rey appears to wield a Dark Side lightsaber in first look footage of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", which debuts December 20, 2019.

From Luke's ominous words in The Last Jedi where he mentions he had what he felt was a healthy fear of Rey's raw powers does have us anxious Rey might have taken a hard diversion towards the way of the Sith. Many are hypothesizing that Rey won't actually be turning evil in the next film, but rather, that this short sequence is ripped out of a vision scene in the movie. All signs point to a final showdown between Rey and Kylo Ren and possibly a re-emergence of Emperor Palpatine from the original trilogy.
C-3PO pops up with glowing, red eyes. She visited a cavern there that was powerful with the Dark Side, and while attempting to learn who her parents really were she encountered a seemingly infinite number of, well, clones of herself.
Now Disney has unveiled that footage, ahead of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's theatrical release December 20. And yet we still find it hard to believe that he's telling her the truth.
