Courtesy of Deadline, Amell has signed on to headline Starz's upcoming wrestling-driven drama Heels.

Following eight seasons on Arrow, Stephen Amell is now working towards putting on a different costume over at Starz. However, outside of the ring, he's the organization's owner, as well as a husband and father attempting to make things work as he fights (literally) to achieve his dreams.

Glee actor Mike O'Malley, who played Finn's dad, will be the showrunner! The show revolves around a small-town professional wrestling promotion where two brothers go to war over their late father's legacy.

Amell will take on the role of Jack Spade, the charismatic heel, or bad guy, of the Duffy Wrestling Association. He has the mind of an artist in the body of a warrior, and a Steve Jobs-ian need for perfection and control.

Tlaib speaks to supporters following decision not to travel to Israel
One of Tlaib's uncles claimed that Israel didn't want Tlaib to visit because she would witness the reality on the ground. Tlaib tweeted a picture of her Palestinian grandmother, saying she " deserves to live in peace & with human dignity ".

Amell not only plays the wrestler but also the new owner of the company, someone who has to contend with his brother while also trying to keep his marriage together while trying to build the DWA into an empire. O'Malley worked on a previous Starz show, Survivor's Remorse, which had a four-season run. He's made appearances in WWE, wrestled against Christopher Daniels at All In and has a close relationship with Cody Rhodes - who he invited to join him on the new TV show. Now it looks like Amell will be plenty busy, but it's not like he's leaving the pro wrestling world entirely.

Stephen Amell sure loves his spandex. The story is expected to have major consequences for Amell's Oliver Queen, while the other series will continue on after Amell leaves the network.

It didn't take Cody Rhodes long at all to reply saying: "Congratulations! and yea, of course". No word yet on when we can expect to see Amell shed his green hood for a wrestling get-up.
