The Blue Jays for some reason refuse to count themselves out of the AL wild-card race, but every day that they lose is another nail in the playoff coffin.

Manager Joe Girardi said Frazier will undergo an MRI on his oblique area Thursday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

"I just think honestly it's not missing pitches", said Donaldson when asked about the roll he has been on the last couple of weeks.

"It was just the same feeling I get whenever my knee hurts", said Sabathia, who will head back to NY on Wednesday for further tests. It's been healthy all year. Tanaka struck out seven and issued just one walk, but he allowed runs in the top of the first and the top of the fourth and he got no support from the Yankees' offense.

CC Sabathia gave up a pair of two-run homers to Josh Donaldson on Tuesday night, but there was a more disturbing reason the New York Yankees starter pitched only three innings. He added that when he can not accomplish that, he does not know where his pitch is going.

Still, given the turmoil the Blue Jays have endured this season, the team was only four games off the pace for the second A.L. wildcard playoff berth at the game's first pitch - albeit with six other teams above them.

Deshaun Watson shines in Texans' preseason opener
Since Watson was drafted, the rookie said he has been picking the brains of Savage and fellow quarterback Brandon Weeden . Houston is also 1-5 ATS in their last six games on grass and the under is 5-2 in the Texans' last seven games on grass.

"He looks as good as I've ever seen him. That's what we saw last night, so we've got to knock that out".

Veteran left-hander CC Sabathia makes his fourth start of the season against the Blue Jays as NY continues its seven-game road trip as a +115 underdog.

The Yankees responded on Garrett Cooper's RBI single in the second.

If the veteran is placed on the team's DL, Jordan Montgomery the rookie southpaw who is 24 could be back up in the major this week. Tepera hit Gary Sanchez and Chase Headley with pitches, then walked Todd Frazier with one out to load the bases.

Aaron Hicks, on the disabled list since June 26 due to an oblique strain, is scheduled to return from a minor-league rehab assignment on Friday, when the Yankees open a three-game series against the first-place Red Sox.

Left-hander J.A. Happ picked up the win for the second straight start, limiting the Yankees to one run and four hits in 5.2 innings before being relieved by Domenic Leone in the sixth. Acquired from Minnesota last month, Tepesch is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three games at Buffalo. The over is 6-2 in Toronto last 8 overall and Toronto are 2-6 in Happ's last 8 home starts while the under is 6-2 in Happ's last 8 starts overall.
