Jadeja now has 438 points while Shakib has 431 points.

Ravindra Jadeja overtook Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan to become the top-ranked Test all-rounder as per the latest ICC rankings on Tuesday. Recently, Jadeja took to the social media platform Twitter and said; he credited his success to the former Indian captain MS Dhoni and the current Indian captain Virat Kohli. He was already leading in ICC Test bowler rankings and now he is leading the all-rounder rankings as well.

Incidentally, the match which put Jadeja on top of the heap is also the one where he breached ICC Code of Conduct to be handed a one-Test suspension. Jadeja's knock of 70 not out and a seven-wicket haul during the second Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo helped him occupy the top position for all-rounders for the first time. The Saurashtra man has also retained his top position in the Test bowlers' list.

Krispy Kreme creates solar eclipse-themed doughnuts
Chocolate glazed doughnuts can be previewed beginning August 19 at participating bake shops across the country and in Canada. Even Krispy Kreme is getting in on the solar eclipse coming up later this month.

There's no denying that the spin combination of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja is one of the finest pairing in modern-day cricket.

Meanwhile, Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane also congratulated Jadeja for his accomplishment. Soon after Jadeja became the number 1 Test all-rounder apart from being the number 1 Test bowler, he took to Twitter to thank two special people for his rise. Not only in the second Test match, the left-arm spinner did well in the Galle Test as well, picking up 6 wickets (3 in each innings).
