Jury Had 2 Not Guilty Holdouts

"The final, intractable votes on the first of the three counts was 10 to two to find Cosby guilty of digitally penetrating accuser Andrea Constand without her consent, the juror said", ABC News reports. On the third count, that the alleged assault occurred after Cosby gave Constand drugs or intoxicants without her knowledge, substantially impairing her for the objective of preventing her resistance, the jury was deadlocked at 10 to two, in favor of a guilty verdict, according to the juror.

On Wednesday, the New York Times reported that juror's names would be made public to the media but placed considerable limitations on what the jurors would be allowed to discuss about the trial (Judge Steven T. O'Neil notified the jurors of what they could not say before the names were released).

O'Neill advised jurors when the trial ended Saturday that they didn't need to discuss the case.

Prosecutors say Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand, the former director of operations for Temple University's women's basketball team, at his home near Philadelphia in January 2004. But he forbade jurors from talking about what other members of the jury said in the deliberating room or from revealing any votes cast in the case.

"Jurors shall not disclose anything said or done in the jury room by any of their fellow jurors that may indicate his or her thoughts or opinions", the judge ordered. The case ended in a mistrial when the jury was unable to come to a unanimous decision.

Jurors asked to rehear lengthy excerpts of trial testimony but eventually told O'Neill they were hopelessly deadlocked.

On June 17, the court declared a mistrial after a jury deadlock.

The jurors contacted by BuzzFeed News either did not respond, or declined to comment Wednesday.

Ford moving compact vehicle production to China
Ford had originally planned to move the production of the Ford Focus to Mexico in order to take advantage of lower labor costs. For US consumers, it means buying a Ford Focus after 2019 means you'll receive a auto manufactured and shipped from China.

During a hearing on the matter on Tuesday, the judge said he needed to balance the media's First Amendment rights with the possibility that disclosing the names could chill the selection of a second jury.

These restrictions are necessary to prevent any type of "chilling effect" the jurors' words could have on future jurors who will be selected for the retrial of the 79-year-old celebrity on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Judge O'Neill released the jurors' names after lawyers for news outlets argued they should be public to ensure transparency in the judicial process. "If somebody would mention something, we would cut them off". The jurors were sequestered for the duration of the trial in a hotel near the Montgomery County Courthouse.

An alternate juror from Pittsburgh said Monday he would have probably voted to convict Cosby.

At a couple other jurors' addresses, neighbors confirmed PennLive reporters found the right places, but said the jurors weren't home and took messages.

The judge plans to hold Cosby's second trial in the next four months.

The AP does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Ms Constand has done.
