Fultz works out for 76ers, amid draft trade talks

Fultz was one of eight National Basketball Association prospects to workout for the Sixers in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Once the trade is finalized, the first four spots in the draft order will exactly mirror the first-four order from a year ago: Philadelphia would have the No. 1 pick; the Los Angeles Lakers would choose No. 2; Boston would go No. 3; and the Phoenix Suns would select fourth. They are set at point guard with Isaiah Thomas and are reportedly interested in drafting Kansas forward Josh Jackson if the pick does not get traded.

"Embiid and me have been talking before". He's giving me tips and pointers and he's pretty amusing, so when I saw that it was pretty cool and pretty amusing. So when I saw that it was like, cool.

Fultz said he was trying not to pay much attention to the trade talk.

Fultz, bleary-eyed after a cross-country flight following a workout with the Los Angeles Lakers the day before, was greeted by Ric MacPherson, to whom Auerbach bequeathed the eye-catching ride.

Fultz thus had to adjust his thoughts to a very different situation.

"He and I have been talking before when I was in college", Fultz said.

No Sixers executives were available to the media. That was one Fultz already owned.

"Not really", he said when asked if the session was a problem. It's something I love to do, and any chance I get, I'm going to be excited. "I'm out here. I just want to show love. Three hours, not too far".

Diego Costa Talks Potential New Destinations; Praises Atletico Madrid, Rules Out China
The coach does not want to have problems with their most important players, but there is a certain way of doing things. I think it's very hard , because he has the World Cup next year and Diego Costa wants to be there.

Fultz wasn't sure where he was headed after the workout.

Rumors have been swirling about Philadelphia's interest in acquiring the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft from the Celtics.

"My knee is great".

"I'm just anxious to get to [draft] day and just get it over with so I can know where I'm going and put full investment to whatever team I'm going to".

"[The last few days have] been insane, man", Fultz said.

"I just wake up and go where they tell me to go", Fultz said. On the surface, Fox would have suited the playmaker-starved Sixers nicely. The 76ers got the 2018 first from the Suns in a deal that sent Michael Carter-Williams from Philly to Milwaukee, and guard Brandon Knight from Milwaukee to Phoenix.

Ball and Jackson are two of the other top players in this draft, but neither has worked out for the Celtics.

Fultz received a warm welcome from the 76ers star frontcourt in Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Dario Saric. Fultz led the Pac-12 in scoring and finished No. 6 among all Division I players, and he was the top freshman scorer in the country. A desire to add the sort of talent that's a bit more established than Fultz and can more rapidly aid Boston's quest to close the gap with the Cavaliers in the East. Point guard Frank Mason III dropped in for his second workout with the Kings. And whether the trade with Philadelphia happens between now and Thursday, that's where the Celtics will stay for the foreseeable future. Earlier, the Lakers were reportedly sold on Lonzo Ball as the No. 2 overall pick but Fultz had them changing their minds days before the Draft.

With the deal, the Celtics now have an additional future first-round pick that they can use to trade for Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls.
