But there is no question that Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid would change the European football landscape as we know it.

According to revered Portuguese publication, A Bola, a report on Friday June 16 claims that the former United hotshot, who has achieved nearly every trophy possible with Real Madrid in Spanish football, has told club president Florentino Perez that he is ready to quit.

"At this moment, he wants to leave", the source told the BBC. Either way, it seems Ronaldo is not ready to do any of those things, and instead would prefer to leave Madrid and play elsewhere.

In a statement from Madrid's regional state prosecutor, they claimed that the Portugal captain "took advantage of a business structure created in 2010 to hide from fiscal authorities income generated in Spain from image rights".

A report from Cope in Spain says Mendes has told Real that he has received numerous offers for Ronaldo from the Premier League, France and China.

Ronaldo is now in Russian Federation with his national side as Portugal bid to add the Confederations Cup to their Euro 2016 success in France.

The IS, in a statement released by Amaq news agency, claimed that its "fighters carried out" the attack. After identifying Carlos as the attacker on Sunday, Albayalde repeatedly sought to discredit IS.

Ronaldo, 32, signed a new five-year contract last November which means he is contracted to Real until 2021, and has previously been linked with a return to United.

Although Old Trafford and a reunion with Jose Mourinho seems a likely destination for Ronaldo, big spenders Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on the situation.

Spanish newspaper Marca said that Ronaldo believes he is being made an example of because of his status as a star and that "he is judged without people really knowing him". Ronaldo has been Real Madrid's star since 2009 and has led the club to three UEFA Championships.

Ronaldo's representatives have strongly denied an accusation that the forward concealed earnings and defrauded the Spanish tax authorities out of €14.7million. He ended the season scoring two goals as they won the Champions League for the third time in four years.

As expected, United fans have had plenty to say on the speculation surrounding the Champions League victor, who spent nine years of his career at Old Trafford before joining Madrid.
