The Golden State Warriors still have champagne dripping from their jerseys after soundly beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games in the 2017 NBA Finals on Monday, June 12.
"Today is all about celebrating our championship", the Warriors' statement read. Several New England Patriots players declined to attend the Trump White House ceremony in April, though a significant amount of the team still made the trip.
There were erroneous reports Tuesday morning that the team had already unanimously voted against visiting the White House.

The prospect of big-name NBA stars refusing an audience with President Donald Trump has been the subject of some speculation among basketball fans throughout the playoffs.
"To be a great leader, there have to be some qualities in there", Kerr said.
