Pakistan defeat England by 8 wickets

Pakistan claimed a superb and entirely unexpected victory over England to send the hosts crashing out of the ICC Champions Trophy, winning by eight wickets to reach Sunday's final.

Kohli added: "They are a very risky side on their day and everyone realises that".

Left arm-pacer made his debut for Pakistan in the match against England and made it count by getting his maiden ODI wicket.

"There's a chance we could make a change".

Their opposite number Bairstow - brought in to open for the first time in worldwide cricket in place of the out-of-form Jason Roy - had responded with a battling 43, but on a used pitch that precluded fluent strokeplay as the ball swung too, England could never get a foothold and folded tamely in their attempt to set a defendable total.

Moeen Ali could find himself promoted to opener should Roy be axed, or the selectors could alternatively turn to Bairstow even though the Yorkshireman has never opened in an ODI.

"You know, one of the huge contributing factors towards topping our table and playing very good cricket in the group stages is that we've stayed true to what we believe in and what's worked for us the last couple of years, and I think that's the continued formula for the future". The game here against New Zealand wasn't exactly crash, bang, wallop.

The bowlers were inept, the batsmen were sub-par and the fielding was disgraceful.

"If you talk about pressure, I think India has more pressure than us".

May orders full public inquiry into deadly tower block fire
"The residents and others have some really serious questions to put to ministers and the people who run the building", he said. Fire safety is a top priority for us, and I wanted to reassure our own tower block residents about their safety here in Oxford.

"I think, we just talked about - after the India match, we just motivated the guys".

The victor of this match will meet either India or Bangladesh, who meet in the 2nd semifinal on June 15, in the final on June 18. The locals, England, along with three Southern Asia teams: Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, made it through to the last four.

England have been on the receiving end of a number of trolls on social media after their humiliating loss against Pakistan in the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy on Wednesday.

Eoin Morgan (33) and Ben Stokes (34) had both impressed during the tournament - the latter scoring a century last time out against Australia - but it was not to be their day as England wickets began to tumble.

That success, however, was Pakistan's only win in the five-match series - a series in which England racked up a world record 444-3 off 50 overs, featuring 16 sixes. I have concerns about the middle order. "It happens sometimes in cricket, but we need to forget it and move on".

"We did not adapt to conditions". If we get a bit of experience among the younger players and we continue to keep that fight - that kind of spirit is really important if we're going to build and become a highly competitive team.

Asked about the team's unpredictability, he said: "Sometimes, that's our strength".

Bangladesh have long discarded their reputation as the whipping boys of elite worldwide cricket, particularly in the one-day format, and earned a first semi-final spot in a global competition with a thrilling win over New Zealand.
