The two will square off in a boxing match August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in a battle of arguably the two most popular fighters in combat sports.
The interest in the Mayweather vs. McGregor match is undeniable.
"The reason he's such a superstar is this guy will fight anyone, anywhere and at any time", UFC chief Dana White said about his fighter.
"With each passing day, it looks more and more likely that the circus known as Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor will be coming to town in the near future". Both men rank as the undisputed pay-per-view champions of their respective sports.
McGregor spent most of his mixed martial arts career competing at 145lbs but has most recently fought at 155lbs, the weight at which he claimed the UFC lightweight title last November.
"The fans wanted to see this fight".
"I'm just saying he's got a puncher's chance - if anything".
"He is absolutely, 100 percent positive he will win this fight".

He's scheduled to spend the day driving, hiking and canoeing through the monument grounds and waters. Trump has made the review of federal monuments a priority early in his first year in office.
It also somehow involves a UFC fighter with no boxing experience literally boxing one of the best boxers of all time. The fighters agreed to 10-ounce gloves and USADA drug testing.

Mayweather will come out of retirement for the fight, having earned a ideal 49-0 pro record.
