"So to go in to a game like that with no other attitude than winning is very important to us", Morgan said after his team defeated New Zealand by 87 runs on Tuesday to become the first team to enter the last-four.

Australia thrashed New Zealand by 87 runs to qualify for the semi-finals from Group A in the ICC Champions Trophy here at Sophia Gardens on Tuesday.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Morgan said: "At the halfway stage we felt we had an under par score on the board and would need the best out of bowlers, and I think we've probably seen the best of our bowling line up here today".

New Zealand was set a target of 311 to win but they were bundled out for 223.

"Even when Kane [Williamson] and Ross [Taylor] (39) got going, the inconsistency of the wicket always presented chances; we had a couple of chances which went just wide of fielders".

Plunkett was the main beneficiary, dismissing James Neesham (18), Corey Anderson (10), Milne (10) and Tim Southee (2) to finish with figures of four for 55 - the ideal tonic after the tournament-ending injury to Chris Woakes.

"Coming out and trying to hit from ball one became very hard".

Officials say law enforcement units from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are investigating the threat. Stumps says the threat is more to the vessel than public safety, and authorities are investigating out of caution.

If Australia beat England in their last group match at Edgbatson, both the two teams will be in the semifinals as they enjoy better net run-rate.

"We want to win, to keep our momentum going no matter who we are playing, but it is nice to know that would be the outcome if we did win".

Adil Rashid was restored to the team here in place of the injured Chris Woakes and the leg-spinner was impressive, taking two for 47 from his 10 overs.

Root decorated his innings with four boundaries and two sixes while Hales struck three fours and two hits over the fence.

Jason Roy hit Milne for four to go to 13.

Stokes proved a key threat with a knock that included four fours and two sixes before he looped an uppercut nearly straight to Milne at third man off Boult. We put ourselves in a really good position to get 340, but we kept losing wickets.

It therefore needed Wood and Co to step up, and Morgan said: 'Guys like him are so valuable to the team - and you can't leave any of our bowlers out.
