Fire has engulfed a 24-storey block of flats in west London, killing a number of people, injuring at least 50 more and trapping some residents asleep inside the towering inferno.
Multiple people are being treated for injuries and residents are being evacuated.
Grenfell Tower was built in 1974 and contains 120 homes, according to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Stuart Crichton, the Ambulance Service's assistant director of operations, says 100 medics are on the scene, together with ambulance crews and advanced trauma teams. Residents continue to be evacuated from the tower block.
"I could see there was ash coming through the window in the living room, which was partially open", she said, sitting with her husband and son, 16, and daughter, eight, outside a local community centre. The fire raged through the night, with emergency crews still fighting the fire hours later in the morning.
"We have taken 30 patients to five hospitals", London Ambulance Service said.
He said he saw people waving flashlights from the top level of the building and saw rescuers "doing an incredible job" trying to get people out.
One eyewitness, George Clarke, told the BBC: "I'm getting covered in ash, that's how bad it is".
London Metropolitan Police have set up an emergency number at Casualty Bureau 0800 0961 233.
Some guy named Scooter just hit four home runs in a row
Arrieta (6-4) allowed two hits, his fewest of the season, and retired 16 straight batters for his first victory since May 21. Some seasons, he barely hit four homers at all - he reached double-digits only once and had 38 career heading into the game.
There's a smell of acrid smoke and flaming debris is spiralling from the building.
"It was like a split second before the whole building was on fire".
"People have been bringing water, clothes, anything they've got to help, out to the cordon". Reports on social media suggest people are trapped inside, while officials confirmed that there have been a number of fatalities.
The tower had an "accumulation" of "household "bulk" rubbish," including old mattresses, in the entrance foyer, which constituted a fire risk and "a danger to residents", the blog said. Some people were reported to have jumped from the building while witness described seeing people, including children, banging on windows, screaming and crying for help.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has declared the fire a "major incident".
Police said in a statement they were called at 1:16am (0016 GMT). It's gone. It's just a matter of time before this building collapses. "My neighbour's smoke alarm went off and I thought he might have done some cooking", he said, giving only his first name of Eddie, 55.
Fire fighters tackle the building after a huge fire engulfed the 24 story Grenfell Tower in Latimer Road, West London in the early hours of this morning on June 14.
"This is a large and very serious incident and we have deployed numerous resources and specialist appliances", he said.
More than 200 people live in the apartment block and evacuations are underway.
