Two Facebook profiles allegedly belonging to Hodgkinson were filled with passionate and sometimes angry political posts.

Hodgkinson has a record of arrests on relatively minor charges, including failing to obtain electrical permits, driving under the influence and resisting a police office, according to the paper. Among the groups he was a member of was one called "The Road To Hell Is Paved With Republicans" and "Terminate The Republican Party".

Aaron Meurer is a neighbor of the Hodgkinsons and said he noticed in the last two months James had been gone.
"He was the type of person that if you challenged him, he wouldn't back off".
